mohammed morsi are sounding the call for nationwide protests again tomorrow against a constitution drafted by islamists. the opposition was bolstered after saturday's first round of voting on the document. only about a third of eligible voters turned out, as 57% approved the draft-- a much lower level of support than predicted. the second round of voting is saturday. those are some of the day's major stories. now, back to judy. >> woodruff: and we pick up now on some of the major questions being asked about guns, mental health and other issues in the aftermath of the shootings. we get four perspectives. dan gross is the president of the brady campaign to end gun violence. david kopel is an adjunct professor of constitutional law at the university of denver and the research director for the libertarian-leaning independence institute. katharine nordal is with the american psychological association. and dr. irwin redlener is a pediatrician at columbia university who works on public and family health issues. he's the president of the children's health fund. we thank you all for being with us.

. demonstrators once again demanding that egypt's president, mohammed morsi, resign after he recently tried to give himself near absolute power. many protesters today reportedly called him a coward and chanted, revolution, revolution. over the weekend, the new constitution passed, a preliminary vote with 57% of the ballots. that's apparently less than the president had expected. but egypt's justice ministry has ordered a probe into allegations of widespread irregularities during saturday's vote. leeland vittert now. can we expect more protests this week? >> absolutely, shep. both muslim brotherhood and the liberals called for protests. liberals were out in the streets today protesting. they say effectively the brotherhood has stolen this revolution. we no longer hear about the democratic ideals from tahrir square. now there is a referendum on a constitution which is hard line, pro-islamic. restricts women's rights and the people are speaking. they have elected morsi of the muslim brotherhood. so far this constitution is leading 57-43. on saturday the second round of voting that includes the

and president mohammed morsi. supporters of morsi and protesters threw rocks at each other, and riot police intervened with tear gas. officials said at least 40 people were injured. it was unclear who started the fight. north korea has detained an american citizen, and says he confessed to unspecified crimes. he was identified today as kenneth bae, a korean-american tour operator from washington state. north korean state media said he entered the country, with a tour, on november 3. the north has detained five other americans since 2009. all were released, eventually. american leaders past and present paid tribute today to the late senator daniel inouye of hawaii. a crowd filled the national cathedral in washington for the service honoring the japanese- american who became a war hero and served in the senate more than 50 years. president obama recalled watching inouye during the televised watergate hearings in 1973. >> to see this man, this senator, this poweul, accolished person who was not a central cast. and the way he commanded the respect of an entire nation, i think it hinted to me wh
